This year at Summer Game Fest Play Days, I had the opportunity to watch the first hour of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare’s fantasy role-playing game series, retains its engaging dialogue choices and strategic use of fantasy abilities, but incorporates more action game elements.
Watching Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s first hour reassured me that BioWare is making a much-needed comeback, despite the disappointing reveal trailer.
The story in Dragon Age: The Veilguard commences with a cinematic featuring Varric, who narrates the history of Solas, an elven deity determined to shatter the Veil that restricts the abilities of his kin, even if it means endangering Thedas with potential destruction. Following this introduction, players can dive into the game and utilize its detailed character customization options. During a showcase of the first hour of gameplay by one of the developers, Game Director Corinne Busche provided commentary, highlighting the game’s core principle of enabling players to fully embody their desired role. Furthermore, ahead of an upcoming gameplay event, Dragon Age has been given a new title, building anticipation for fans to discover more details about the highly-anticipated fourth installment.

Earlier this week, developers announced on their Sims X (formerly Twitter) account that they were implementing a move to increase both the number of fixes and the frequency of their batched updates.
