Monster Hunter Wilds What We Currently Know About

The Game Awards 2023 announced Monster Hunter Wilds, which is the largest and most ambitious hunting game yet. Sharpen your blades, gather potions, and enjoy a good meal because a new hunt is on its way.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you will be able to begin your first hunt in the summer of 2025.

Film trailers

This official trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds shows a character riding a new monster mount as he is pursued by a stampede of monsters through the desert. A massive wall of clouds approaches, causing a lightning storm, adding to the chaos. It is a brief teaser that leaves much to be speculated about.

1st Trailer, which was shown at PlayStation’s State of Play event in May 2024, features a storyline involving a team traveling on a sand ship through a large desert.

As many were expecting, the reveal trailer did not show much monster hunting. Instead, it hinted at new mechanics. Mounts have been part of the series before. The new mount appears to be more nimble. Considering the size of the world, mounts are likely to be crucial to your hunting experience. They are capable of leaping, bouncing, and gliding.

You can use traps to attract monsters while you are mounted, or to direct them toward environmental hazards in the gameplay trailer. A significant update is the ability to carry extra weapons on your mount, allowing you to switch them during hunts. For greater flexibility, you can now bring two weapons on a hunt instead of returning to base camp to switch your primary weapon.

It appears that you and two friends can work together to eliminate your target in the trailer.

Rather than acting as a traditional trailer, Monster Hunter Wilds’ Basics Mechanics Overview serves as a brief tutorial highlighting some of its new features.

The Seikret mount is a new mount in Wilds. You can call it at any time in the field to direct you to the monster you are hunting. Sheathing your weapons allows you to move faster as well as use items or draw them to attack. Furthermore, you can switch between primary and secondary missions without returning to camp while riding. You can also use healing items, sharpen your blade, and gather resources while riding.

You can use the Slinger to shoot gathered materials. Additionally, you can use the Hook to collect items from a distance.

Gamescom 2024 kicked off with the reveal of a new Monster Hunter Wilds monster and region. The reveal of Lala Barina and Scarlet Forest introduced a new Temnoceran class monster, which is generally known as one of the most rare types. Known for its bright, rose-colored body and ability to spray red liquid while leaping and spinning from webs, this spider-like creature can be found in a scarlet red nest.

In the wild, it climbs onto the back of another monster and attacks it.

The apex monster is what many players want to see. Rey Dau is a large flying wyvern with powerful lightning abilities. He usually appears during the Sandtide Inclemecy, when the massive storms have occurred. If the footage is accurate, this hunt will be the most dangerous in the game.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, players can summon NPC hunters for assistance when playing offline.
