To regain player trust, Helldivers 2 developers have outlined a 60-day strategy.

Helldivers 2: The community has been upset with recent changes in the latest big patch, and developers have announced a 60-day plan to address long-standing issues.

In a recent subreddit post, Arrowhead Game Studios’ game director Mikael Eriksson recognizes that the Escalation of Freedom update fell short of expectations. Dissatisfaction has been voiced by the community regarding several alterations, including changes to fire weapons like the Breaker Incendiary and FLAM-40 flamethrower. These weapons were previously successful against charger terminids but have since been altered to not penetrate their hides. Some players view these problems as indicative of larger concerns about Arrowhead’s development strategy, specifically the emphasis on weapon balance over player enjoyment.

Eriksson acknowledges mistakes in game balance and direction. In response to player feedback, they have developed a 60-day plan to address these issues. Arrowhead aims to prioritize bug fixes that will have the greatest impact on gameplay. The plan includes addressing weapon balance, primary weapon design, and specific game adjustments.

As Eriksson mentioned, the Helldivers 2 community has been discussing the importance of balancing gameplay and open communication with players through blogs, patches, and surveys.

Last week, several Arrowhead developers had to address concerns regarding the Escalation of Freedom.

He admitted that he should have provided more context about the stat instead of just surprising players with it. CEO Shams Jorjani took responsibility for a specific change that reduced incendiary weapons’ effectiveness.

Due to the upcoming requirement that PC players link their Steam accounts to their PlayStation Network accounts, Helldivers 2, a surprise multiplayer hit released in February by Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment, is currently receiving negative Steam reviews.

In his controversial opinion on Nvidia’s DLSS technology, Arrowhead Games CEO faced criticism. Despite the absence of branded upscaling tools in Helldivers 2, which has been praised as one of the top co-op games of the year, the game still performs well without DLSS.

Playing video games

It has been difficult to access Helldivers 2’s gameplay due to server problems this February, but it has become a popular choice. The online experience in Helldivers 2 is not perfect despite Arrowhead Game Studios’ efforts to resolve the issues. You can still enjoy a comparable gaming experience if you’re having trouble with Helldivers 2.

Helldivers was released on PC, PS4, and PS Vita in 2015. In 2016, I only played 15 minutes of it and didn’t think much of it. However, after enjoying Helldivers 2, I revisited the first game and found its isometric shooter charm to be similar.
